With a background as a qualified carpenter and the last 8 years as a site manager overseeing new build developments, I have seen it all!

We also can offer various add-ons for the basic and intermediate inspections. These can be added onto the inspections during checkout.
Thermal imaging - Highlighting potential insulation issues, cold bridging problems and any water leaks that may be hidden
Drone Survey - Use of a drone to highlight and potential issues that may be unseen from ground level, to check construction of chimneys/flashing and also checking the guttering is free from debris.
How does this work?
Once you have decided you would like to book a new build snagging inspection with us, you will be able to select the inspection you require along with a suitable date and time.
You will be able to leave me as much information as possible about the property whilst going through the checkout procedure. If any more information is required, we will contact you.
I will then attend the property on the selected date and time to carry out the inspection.
These vary greatly in time spent at the property with the 2-bedroom basic inspection taking approximately 3 hours on site whilst the 5+ bedroom advanced inspection taking 6 hours.
The completed report will be generated the same day and will be emailed to you promptly, within 24 hours of the original inspection time.
Also, a printed paper hard copy will be sent to the address supplied during checkout, I always believe it’s nice to have a printed copy for your records.
That then is the service completed, you can now forward this inspection to your developers to ensure any defects are corrected before completion.
End of warranty and inspection re checks (after developer has rectified the inspection list) will be available soon.
Best time to book an inspection?
In most cases, the best time to carry out an inspection is towards the very end of the build, just before you complete on the property. At this stage, the home should be fully finished, allowing a thorough check of all visible elements — from finishes and fittings to overall workmanship.
Most developers adhere to a NHQB code which requires them to have the defects rectified within 30 days of completion.
